Highwood Security is owned and managed by Mike and Craig Brisland.

Mike's background is mechanical engineering and he spent several years manufacturing and installing confectionery equipment in the UK and overseas. He moved on to become works manager of a major London and Leeds based roller shutter door manufacturer before setting up Highwood Security in 1988.

Craig learned the trade by working as a fitter's mate, then a fitter before becoming works manager and now a director. Craig is now responsible for manufacturing, installation and site surveys, whilst Mike deals with administration.

Mike gained a position in the shop front roller shutter market at an early stage, securing a contract with a national television sales and rental business. From this base Highwood went on to develop a very strong reputation in the retail sector. In partnership with several shopfitters, Highwood has developed nationwide contracts with national high street chains in jewellery, book making, clothing, perfume, books and stationery.

Says Mike 'Supplying roller shutters to the retail trade requires very high standards of quality and service. We work with shopfitters, architects and end clients to specify the correct shutter for a particular application. We produce a high quality product that will be robust, provide the required level of security, be aesthetically pleasing and require minimal maintenance. We have developed excellent relationships with our customers - based on the quality of our shutters and the consistent level of service that we provide.
